Students Train Classroom Dog   Brooke Piper Russell is a very special student of Pawsitive Steps.  Brooke is the official classroom dog or room 203 at Brookside Elementary in Lake Forest Park, WA.  This article was published by the Shoreline Enterprise newspaper last year when Pawsitive Steps was chosen to work with the faculty and students at Brookside with their new Golden Retriever.  You will find videos of Brooke on You Tube and hear more of her story as time goes by.

If You Do the Good Stuff   This article was a runner-up finalist in the Association of Pet Dog Trainer's National Train Your Dog Month essay contest in January 2010 and features Brooke and her classroom.

When Nature Calls  Is having an alternative potty place a convenience or even necessary for your dog?  What will your dog do when he needs to "go" and is stuck in a situation where there is nowhere to go? When dogs get to go along with us on our adventures, such as boating or if the poor pup is stuck inside at home for an extended period of time, because you have to deal with a crisis, or when your dog reaches those golden years of seniority and can't hold it as long as they used to, what non-stressful alternative can you offer your pup?  This article was written with boating as an example, but the principles apply to all dogs who may ever find themselves in need of a "porta-potty".
